How do you "star" on first page of Google. Well, that takes some bumps and bruises on the internet. I have had my share of bumps, that is for sure !!!

One of the first things I can honestly say is - have patience !!! Google is cracking down on people buying links etc... and getting too many links too fast is going to confuse things. I have never been one to purchase links or articles, I write my own stuff and I link slowly. Google likes that better. Besides, If you want to be know as an honest entrepreneur, then be honest, don't buy things just to get ahead of the competition. Some one else cannot tell your story like you can. People want to get to know you, not a "ghost".

The first things you need are a good online program to teach you correctly how to be online, then you need a great marketing plan. I have had much success in the following:

Making money online - Newbie Mistakes

I see newbies making some of the same mistakes I made, but just keep learning - things will change. I made lot's of mistakes in the beginning and still do, probably always will lol !!! One of my biggest pet peaves though is something I have never done but I see on my blog comments, is NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, did I say that 3 times, well lets repeat, NEVER post a comment on someones blog telling people not to join a program and leave a link to your post which promotes the SAME product. I will tell you why later !!

When I first started on the internet, I think I started out like most people, trying to advertise making money on line products. I had no plan, didn't know what a plan looked like, so I joined all the pretty flashing lights that told me I would make $5,163 a month with this program, never made a penny. I paid for safe-lists, joined site rotators, got a few blockers from my virus protection asking me to abort connection or my computer would crash. MY BIGGEST LOSS WAS CASH GIFTING so I sent the BIG one and the people I joined with had no clue what-so-ever how to market the thing. I had been in touch via email and phone with these people for awhile so I thought I could trust them. They kept calling me saying - this program is rocking, so I joined. UGHHH!!! We won't discuss what this did to my marriage, not to say my credit card I posted cash against. I had a stomach ache for days. When hubby found out he literally threw up..

After the cash gifting, I decided I wasn't going to give up but I canceled all my programs I was paying monthly fees for. I decided I needed to go to school, so I did some research. During my research, some-how Kyle and Carson from Wealthy Affiliate Unviersity found me and sent me an email. I had clicked on send me free information and boom, I joined, I have not looked back since then. I have learned from the best. Now I had some education on what all this stuff means - keyword research, article content, PPC, (I don't do any) squidoo lense optimization. All the things you need for a successful campaign are right there. Wow !!! I had a plan !!!

I KNOW THERE IS MONEY ON THE INTERNET

I knew there was money on the internet, despite all the smoke and mirrors I tried. The safe-lists I joined were packed with people trying to sell me their stuff, and I got hundreds of emails daily, no one ever clicked on my stuff, and when they did, they only got points for clicking so their site would be rotated. I tried that for a couple of months and I just got tired of deleting emails. Maybe some people might be making a little money doing that, but it is not long term income.

This is what I have realized :

1. Newbies don't have a marketing plan.
2. Newbies don't know how to properly write an article.
3. Newbies don't know how to blog.
4. Newbies don't know the importance of an autoresponder.
5. Newbies don't know how to hide their links.
6. Newbies don't know why they need their own domain name.

I DIDN'T KNOW ANY OF THIS UNTIL I JOINED WEALTHY AFFILIATE UNIVERSITY.

Today I would like to talk about hyperlinks - and where you put them. I first learned about linking from joining Wealthy Affiliate University , and then I got a copy of One Week Marketing Plan. Pot pie girl helps newbies understand how to start out with the freebies in internet marketing and work your way up. I have lost money on programs that are designed by people who have been on the internet way longer than I have and had no plan what-so-ever on how to market what you signed up for. One week marketing will change all that with a day to day program to follow so you know what to do. You know the saying - the cat catches the mouse and the mouse has the cheese (money).

Well, the same is true in internet marketing. You have to make the sites, you have to get people to visit, and then they have to buy what you are offering. No traffic- no sales - no money !!! That's it !!!

Well, I decided to Stop Losing Money Online and learn "how to make money online". Wealthy Affiliate has taught me that. I found One Week Marketing Plan through Wealthy Affiliate. I am not rich yet but I am working on my plans every day with the help of WA and OWM. After all, you are reading this aren't you.

I USED TO THINK I HAD TO COMPARE WA TO OWM, BUT YOU DON'T. ONE IS A UNIVERSITY AND THE OTHER IS AN ACTUAL PLAN TO FOLLOW. WA WILL TEACH YOU HOW TO GET STARTED AND ONE WEEK MARKETING WILL TELL YOU WHAT TO DO DAILY TO GET STARTED. I WOULD NOT KNOW WHAT DIRECTION TO GO IN WITHOUT BOTH. I IMPLEMENT BOTH EVERY DAY AND NEW THINGS ARE ADDED ALL THE TIME TO HELP YOU KEEP IMPROVING YOUR PROJECTS.

Wealthy Affiliate has a new keyword generator to help you with long tail keywords, also has the latest "hot" clickbank products.

One week marketing now has videos and when you purchase OWM you get a free ebook for step-by-step Squidoo lenses, keyword research, and frequent updates.

I used to pay for information, now I just surf the internet and you can always find what you need for free. The other thing I learned is when you join a program,
the idea is to up-sell you something through their auto-responder so you buy some more. Well, that is great for making money but if you are just starting out you don't have any. I have purchased many things that I could have gotten for free. I got caught up in the up-sell process. I don't know if I will ever go there but my tests are continuing.

Bum Marketing will also help you with your writing and many other skills.

Did you try guru programs? Me too - didn't work, not enough technical knowledge and too much competition.

Did you ever try cash gifting? I did - lost my shirt. Never got one click, bad mentoring.

Ok,enough of the disaster stories, right. Well it gets better. I won't go into that though, it's boring.

Lets get down to business. What you really need to do is join a good online university, why, because you will LEARN how to make money online, not lose it.

Until I decided to Join Wealthy Affiliate University , I didn't have a clue what a niche was, how to hyperlink, what good content was, how to capture an audience with a catchy title, what keyword research was, or any of that. I just didn't have a clue as to how much "stuff" you needed to get Google to notice you online.

The next best thing I did was get a copy of One Week Marketing Plan, and that is when things really started to change. After seeing the first 18 pages FREE, and after losing my shirt, I was impressed.

Now I know what to do on day 1, day 2, etc, and what to do next. Potpiegirl gives you a free keyword research guide, a free Squidoo Lense guide, and lots of FREE stuff to help you get notices by Google.

Now I am busy every day with an actual PLAN to follow and I see Google perking up to visit my sites.

P.S. Don't forget to "ping" all your projects at feed ping AFTER you submit your RSS to feedage and feedest.

Start Marketing the right way:

1. Join an online university or another program with a good plan.
2. Study the plan before you begin.
3. Start implementing the plan.
4. In the beginning stick to the free stuff
5. Make squidoo lenses
6. Blog about your lenses and stuff
7. Write articles about your lenses and blogs and submit to the best places.
8. Link everything so they all point to each other.
9. Feed all your postings to feedage and feedest.
10. Ping your articles, lenses, and blogs.

Let Google figure out what to do with you. With multiple feeds and links to each other, you should do pretty well as long as your keywords and titles are good.

One of my favorite places to add a link to is Qassia. You can join Qassia for a one time fee of $20, I believe that is the current price, may change sometime, but those articles you write on Qassia are as good as Ezine Articles and they go right to the Google search engine. Your articles are called intel (inteligence) that get commented on by 12 people and after at least 12 people comment on your article it gets published. You get another quality link and get paid by Qassia. You also get paid to comment on other peoples intel. Just click on the red button below, on the left side scroll down to join or sign up. Create your profile with your mug shot and start writing. That's it !!! Your in !!!
